Although Mark Kenworthy was introduced to the piano at an early age, it wasn't until the age of forty that he regained his interest while exploring ways to best express the music he was constantly hearing in his heart and head. His first compilation, "In A Different Light" , was a learning experience done mainly for the entertainment of his friends and family. The eclectic mix of styles, textures and tones that completed this first venture showed that composing had become a very important part of Mark's life.

Shortly after the completion of "In A Different Light" , long hours of meditation revealed an alter ego by the name Lighthawk. It wasn't until after his second composition, "The Journey of the Crystal Planet", written with the help of friends Randy Bruner, Andy Baringtang and Mark Stucker, that he understood the meaning of the name. "The Journey of the Crystal Planet" introduced a free flow form of music that has no boundaries. It opens and balances energy centers, is used in meditation and has perked the interests of psychologists for use in pain and stress management and biofeedback research. A few art therapists have found it soothed children with attention deficit disorders, helping them focus and allowing their creative energy to flow.

Until that point Mark had not performed his new found music in public. 4 years after taking up the keyboards he was asked to be the first musician to perform at a local Holistic Living Seminar in Oldenburg, IN. Having only done studio work it was necessary to compose music that he could actually perform live. Many compositions were written and most are long forgotten but the ones that did survive became a delightful CD called "Cosmic Dancer" .

Lighthawk has become an accomplished composer/musician/performer of thought-provoking and intriguing interdimensional music used to open, stimulate and balance the Chakras and assist with the transition from the 3rd dimension illusion to the resonance of the 5th dimension.

Performances are a mixed palette of soothing piano pieces, interdimensional and ambient space music using multi layered synthesized orchestration and traditional rhythms. His style includes the influences of Celtic, Middle Eastern, popular and classical, along with a touch of ethereal washes. This is accomplished by choreographing different voicings (such as oboes, violins, harps, choirs, flutes, pianos and ambient washes), throughout the keyboards.

Lighthawk has been part of many programs throughout the Midwest and East Coast including the Kryon channeling/workshops in Indianapolis, Atlanta and Lake Geneva; lectures by Richard Carlson and Wayne Dyer; and the Whole Life Expos in Atlanta and Baltimore. He has presented concerts at the Edgar Cayce Foundation in Virginia Beach; the Columbus Universal Life Expo; the Festival of Light, Indianapolis as well as in Lake Geneva and Atlanta with Swami Beyondananda . He has been a featured presenter/performer at the Spiritual Holistic Expo in Allentown, PA; the Holistic Living Seminar, Oldenburg, IN; Victory of Light in Cincinnati, OH; the New Earth Festivals in Kentucky and Tennessee and the Universal Life Expo in Columbus, OH.

His next two CDs, delve deep into the ethereal plane of timelessness and life transformation. "Garden of Illusion" and "Night Angels" are intense CDs meant to take one into deeper states of consciousness by removing energy blockages to help reconnect with our life purpose. "Garden of Illusion" was recorded during several performances at The Victory of Light Psychic Festivals including one in which a Hospice Memorial was taking place in another part of the building. In 2006 Lighthawk teamed up with Linley Gresham on didjereedoo to create a marvelous musical journey called "Night Angels". Most recently Lighthawk completed a hypnotic CD with gentle rhythms and soothing passages for use in meditation and dream enhancement.
